As it’s Easter weekend, I thought now would be the perfect time to show you how to incorporate a fresh, spring theme into your wedding day (especially if you’re getting married around this time).
I’ve collected some of my favourite images from Pinterest to create a mood board to demonstrate how pretty pastels, fresh florals and simple touches to the table settings can bring this garden-fresh theme to life and make a big impact.
DECOR: Opt for a mixture of pastel pinks, greens, blues, purples, yellows and golds in your floral arrangements and the table linen to add pops of colour. Choose wash-coloured glassware to add a little something extra, along with golden cutlery and candle holders to tie all the elements together. Remember this theme will revolve heavily around beautiful blooms.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: When it comes to the food and beverage of the day, it will be all about the presentation. Serve refreshing canapés with pink lemonade in mason jars with striped straws. Store other drink bottles such as ginger beer and elderflower cordial in large ice buckets decorated with flowers. For the wedding cake, opt for a simple and elegant design and finish off with a floral topper to match the pastel colour scheme.
STATIONERY: This can include anything from place cards and seating plans to the favours. For the seating plan, why not design an oak board to display the seating arrangements decorated with more fresh florals? Opt for individual chocolate golden Easter eggs as favours and tie with a silk bow ribbon with individual guest names attached to add a personal touch.
